Shopping has changed a lot in the past quarter century. All the way back in the fifties, too just about ten years ago, going to the mall and going to shop in department stores was a standard thing. However, A new and very, very popular shopping trend has started, And that is online shopping.

A lot of people really enjoy the convenience of online shopping, especially younger people, as They really enjoy being able to buy items from their own homes. But there are still a lot of people who enjoy going out of their house to shop.

“I really do prefer to actually leave my house and buy the things I need and want, such as clothes, shoes, and food”, Says Gina Patterson, a mom of three kids in the olentangy local school district.

Online shopping has really gotten big very recently, as in the past decade. There seems to be a trend where online shopping is more popular with younger people. However, it seems to also be popular with other moms who have very young children, and don’t quite have the time to go out and do a lot of shopping.

“I really like the ease of online shopping. No lines, and no going out of the house.” Says Max Geiger, a sophomore at orange high school. “Shopping online is so much better because you don’t have to search for very long for a specific item, or worry about stuff being out of stock for a long time.” Says Max.

Online shopping does have some benefits, such as no lines and not having to leave the house, but going out and shopping at stores also has some benefits over online shopping, such as the convince of getting the item(s) right away, and being able to see what your going to be purchasing in person before you buy it.

Face it, Online shopping is only getting bigger and more popular, but this certainly isn't the end of malls and stores. There will always be some people who prefer to go out and shop, but, you can’t deny the fact that physical stores are going to have to get a little creative to keep attracting new customers.
