About Me
Hey there!
My name is Cole Patterson. I am currently a junior attending Ohio University and majoring in Journalism. I graduated from Olentangy Orange High School in May 2020.

For the 2019-20 school year, I was the station manager for my school's first-ever radio station, WPLP The Pulp. I helped found the radio station and will play a big role in the production and management for the Inaugural year.
​
During the 2019-20 school year, I also served as a section editor for the news section of my school's award-winning news magazine, The Courier. I also served as head of news and radio prep for our Web Journalism class.
​
I frequently anchored my high school's news, The Juice, as well as produced many news packages and commercials for it.
Video Production is one of my favorite things to do, as I also make videos for a variety of other topics and classes.
​
Since coming to OU, I have done work for multiple publications including The Post, WOUB, The Thread, and a couple more.
​
For WOUB, I anchored weather on Newswatch, WOUB's live newscast that airs on PBS and YouTube. I also worked as a reporter for Hardwood Heroes, which covers high school basketball in the Tri-Valley Conference (TVC). For Hardwood Heroes, I produced video and written recaps, as well as in-depth video packages.
I joined The Post to write culture and opinion stories, as well as help out in the multimedia department making video packages and skits.

This past year, I have been working as the Director of Multimedia. Under my leadership, the multimedia department has seen rapid growth. For the fall of 2022, our department produced over 150 videos and podcasts utilizing a team of over 40 MMJs.
​
This spring, we introduced our new digital production, known as 'The Post TV.' This production highlights content The Post is producing across all departments, along with exclusive content made just for the show.
​
Journalism and Media Production are truly my passion. I find great pleasure in creating videos of all kinds, along with helping out multiple publications. I truly am excited for what the future holds.
