Topgolf, The New Entertainment Venue in Town

Topgolf, a rising entertainment company specializing in golf, has recently opened a new location in the Columbus area.

First started in the United Kingdom, Topgolf opened its first location in the United States in 2005, located in Alexandria, Virginia.

Throughout the country, Topgolf has rapidly grown since the opening of its first US location. The company now has 47 current open locations throughout the United States, according to Topgolf.com.

The company also features franchised locations in other nearby cities, including Cincinnati and Pittsburgh.

The opening of Topgolf in the Columbus area is a big deal, especially for locals at Polaris. The new entertainment center has sparked tons of traffic, causing even more traffic on the roads in an already highly congested area.

“I think there are more cars in the area around topgolf, mainly because so many people want to go there” Says Topgolf Employee Eddie Zalar.

However, the new venue has loads of new and unique features. The facility has a three-level driving range that includes specific targets. Guests can also relax in the bar area, have a meal at the full service restaurant, or just simply hang out and meet up with friends.

When guests enter, they will be greeted with a large two-story atrium. After customers stop by the guest services desk on the second floor, they will proceed to one of the many golf bays.

Guests can choose from a variety of “golf games” to play, based on either accuracy, distance, or just simply hitting golf balls.

The whole experience is topped off with a large selection of food that can be ordered directly to one’s bay, or enjoyed in the full service restaurant area.

There are also many other additional little touches added that make the entertainment destination one-of-a-kind. Guests can also partake in table games such as pool, foosball, or tabletop shuffleboard.

The venue is extremely popular among both adults and children. “I think the new complex is very unique, and just simply a fun place to go too with friends when we’re bored” Said Junior Ethan Morris, who visited the place with friends in October.

The new complex has also generated a lot of new jobs for the community, creating 500 new jobs, according too NBC4.

With the opening of the new complex, there is now even more pressure on other entertainment venues in the area to get customers in the building.

“There is definitely a noticeable difference in the amount of people at other nearby entertainment places, such as star lanes and magic mountain, since the opening of topgolf” Says Junior Kevin Gee. He experienced levels on a friday night visit to Star Lanes.

Topgolf has also been very well received by employees. “I can’t think of a thing that I really dislike about working there. The manger plays games with us and is always there for us if we need help” Says Topgolf Employee Eddie Zalar.
